Virus Attack!

updated! =) haven been updating for a week. due to the hectic working hours. OT everyday. PM work till 11.30pm, AM work till 5.30pm.  No food. No water. No FRESH AIR! 

BMT moved house again. only shifted there for 6 months, due to the unfortunate global event. forced to shift out to give way to SGH Infectious Disease Department to get things ready just in case (touchwood, pray hard s'pre will b spared for this). 

Orange Alert- it's really scary. i've nv thought i would experience this in my nursing career actually. temperature n visitor screening booth set up the following day as soon as the news reported widespread of swine in Mexico. in just a blink of an eye, green turn to yellow then to orange in less than a week. long Qs of visitors seen queuing all the way out of the building. Visitors  are limit to 1 per patient, hospital n ward became rather quiet, but our amt of work load carry on as per normal. No. i think it's even more workload n working hours. sigh! donning n removing Gowns, Gloves, Goggles, N95s/Dragger when attending to each patient. uniforms these days are always soaked with litres of sweat. tt's already enough to make us real busy. 

30/4 thurs- when sister annouced that s'pore has stepped up to orange alert level, she added on, saying "All annual leave are freeze! No staff are to leave the country." i was like so BLANK! because i suppose to depart on the 5may for taipei. really worried alot that the trip will hav to cancel because of such request.  Appeal Letter for permission to leave the country submitted last sat 2May. n result was known only on the 3may at 7pm. =) n im really grateful that my appeal is successful, my AL is approved! n im leaving in the next few hours.. will enjoy myself, n of course, not to worry, i'll take the neccessary precaution measures! =D update agn!
